Description

Most radio interviews are edited from much longer audio, and only a small segment ends up on the air. What happens to what was left on the cutting room floor? In this talk, I'll discuss the Pop-up Archive, that took in archives from radio stations, and do a brief survey of other archives that preserve aural history. I would also like to talk about the Xfer Collective, a NYC based organization helping oral history organizations to maintain their collections with best practices for digital preservation.
